Hi, I’m Laura Zambrana, FNP
Hi, I’m Laura Zambrana, a Family Nurse Practitioner and the founder of The Root Cause Co.
I created this space to offer clear, compassionate health education for people who feel confused, overwhelmed, or unheard in the healthcare system.
After years of caring for medically complex patients and supporting families through difficult health decisions, I saw how often people were left with more questions than answers. This space exists to help bridge that gap.
Why I Created The Root Cause Co
Throughout my career in healthcare, I have cared for medically complex patients and supported families through some of the most difficult health decisions they will ever face.
Over time, I began noticing something that troubled me: many people were leaving appointments feeling confused, overwhelmed, and unsure of what was actually happening with their health or their loved one’s care.
Not because they didn’t care. Not because they weren’t trying. But because the healthcare system often moves quickly, and the time needed to truly explain things is not always there.
The Gap I Kept Seeing
Again and again, I saw families trying to navigate incredibly complicated situations without clear guidance.
People struggling with addiction recovery were trying to understand what was happening to their brain and body.
Caregivers supporting aging parents were trying to make sense of dementia, medications, and difficult medical decisions.
Patients dealing with chronic fatigue or unexplained symptoms were searching for answers that often felt incomplete.
What many people needed most was not just treatment.
They needed clear understanding.
What I Hope This Space Offers
The Root Cause Co was created to offer something simple but powerful: clear, compassionate health education.
This site is not about fear-based messaging or quick fixes. It is about helping people better understand their bodies, their brains, and the healthcare decisions they face so they can move forward with more confidence and clarity.
A Bit About Me
I am a Family Nurse Practitioner with experience supporting medically complex patients and families navigating challenging health situations.
